It's sad how responsibilities and adulthood sucks the life out of Christmas . I remember thinking Christmas would never get here when I was a kid and being so excited when if finally came. As a grown up, as much as I still enjoy the season, I'm ready for it to be over this year. Isn't that so sad??? I'm sure it's my fault for not planning better and starting my shopping sooner, but regardless, that's how it is for me. I'm sure the fact that I'm 8 and 1/2 mos. pregnant has something to do with my gloomy disposition. Briskly walking through the mall at my current pre-natal stage is not so much fun. Anyway, that's my feelings at the moment. I need to go to bed now, it's 3:00am.

My daughter Sidney cracks me up everyday. She has said so many hilarious things the last few days I had to blog it. Yesterday she said, " Um, watch me say this, Joseph's Wife Christmas." When we were out shopping today I told her we would go by Rudolph at the mall b/c she loves to see it. When I said we were going to go by it she said, "But, we can't take it home." We were sitting in the drive through at Ray's for lunch and sh

Someone once said that babies will finally get to a point where they realize they are not their mommy and they are their own person. Well, I think that parents do the same thing. We finally realize that our children are not just a small version of ourselves, but rather a completely unique individual that happens to have our genes. I was playing with my daughter the other day and she loves to point out that my favorite color is pink and hers is purple. She doesn't ever change it to be like me, she's happy being herself and having her own opinion and I'm happy with that, too. I wouldn't want her to be a carbon copy of myself. I love to be surprised at the things that she says and does. When I say "stupid" by accident she's gotten to where she now just growls and says, "Jesus!" instead of the whole phrase which is, "Jesus doesn't want us to say that." It cracks me up every time. She's told us she wants a sailboat for C
